Top Comms
TOP Comms is a comprehensive communications manager.
When you open TOP Comms, the software detects the communications subsystems that are available and present on your system and displays them accordingly. TOP Comms manager can be used to monitor and manage:

Communications subsystems (devices) that are available on all NonStop servers, including X25, TCP/IP, Expand, SSCP, Bisync, Multilan, SNAX/XF and Telnet.

Internet Communications for the Enterprise (ICE) (if installed and configured).

TCPIPv6 (INET4), Parallel TCP/IP, classic TCPIP and Telnet command, control and configuration support.
In addition, TOP Comms includes the TOP Explorer with following core components and functionality:

| EMS: | Event viewer, collector and distributor status, configuration and control. |
| Find: | Find processes or files. |
| Kernel: | Servernet status and process status, configuration and control. |
| KMSF: | Swapfile status, configuration and control. |
| OSS File System: | Access to files and directories, status, edit, email, transfer, cut, paste, delete, create, etc. |
| OSS Fileset: | Status, configuration and control. |
| OSS Processes: | Status and control of OSS processes. Search to locate processes with specific attributes. |
| OSS Servers: | Status, configuration and control. |
| Processes: | Status and control of Guardian processes. List files and sockets opened by a process. Run arbitrary object files, TACL macros or obey files. |
| Profiles: | Control over who can do what to what using TOP. |
| Safeguard: | Configuration of Safeguard and Safeguard ACLs. |
| Storage: | Status,
configuration, control of S-series storage
devices. Virtual disk space utilisation. Graphical interface to DSAP. |
| TMF: | Configuration, control and monitoring of TMF and its associated resources and attributes. |
| Tools: | The ability to define customized actions to carry out against objects in TOP. |
| Volumes: | Access to volumes, sub-volumes and files. Status, edit, email, transfer, cut, paste, delete, create, etc. |
